In view of migrant workers crisis caused due to COVID 19 and lowest rate of registration of naka workers in Mumbai, Kamgar Sanrakshan Sammaan Sangh (KSSS) has taken the initiative to create awareness on registration of naka workers in all the 24 wards of Mumbai. The workers will be informed of the importance of registration and the process of registration under the Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBoCW). With the registration, workers will be able to get the benefits of more than 20 welfare schemes meant for their social protection covering health, education of their children, financial assistance and social security schemes. The Board can cover more than 20 different types of workers engaged in the construction industry for example masons, carpenters, electricians, sewer workers, fabricators, glass workers etc.

More than 17 organisations has supported the campaign to facilitate the registration
of the naka workers in Mumbai including the Ola Uber union (Maharashtra App Based Transport Workers Union) which has provided the vehicle support.
